Quotation questions

What should a quotation include in Singapore?

Your business name and UEN, the customer's name and address, a quotation number and date, how long the price is valid, each item with its quantity and unit price, the subtotal, GST if you are GST-registered, the total, and your payment and delivery terms.

Do I need to show GST on a quotation?

Only GST-registered businesses may charge GST, and they should show their GST registration number and whether prices include GST. If you are not registered, leave GST off: the template then shows a plain total.

What is the current GST rate in Singapore?

9%, since 1 January 2024. Switch on GST and the template adds 9% to the subtotal, or shows the GST included in your prices if you tick that option.

Is a quotation the same as an invoice?

No. A quotation is an offer made before the work, which the customer can accept or decline. An invoice asks for payment after the sale. A GST-registered business must issue a tax invoice, not a quotation, to charge GST.

Is this quotation maker really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit. What you type is used to draw the PDF and is not stored by Onehub; your browser keeps a copy so you can come back to it.

Can I send quotations my customers can accept online?

Yes, in Onehub. Quotes there are numbered for you, priced from your product list, sent as a link the customer can accept and sign, and turn into an order and a tax invoice without retyping.
